One of the nicest hotels in Seattle – the Renaissance – is the host venue for WritersUA West
Your room rate includes wireless internet access in guest rooms and complimentary use of the health club. You’ll find it hard to beat that for convenience and amenities in the city center area. Reserve early as these rates only apply to our limited room allocation. The special rate ends March 25. If you are spending some extra time in Seattle, you can still enjoy the hotel at the same low rate if space is available. Register our online form.
Here are some notes to help with you your trip to Seattle:
The Seattle International Airport (SEA) is called SeaTac. A convenient and inexpensive connection from airport to Seattle is via the Link light rail. These trains run every fifteen minutes throughout the day. You avoid rush hour traffic and the second to last stop (University Ave) is just five blocks from the Renaissance. A taxi will cost about $30-40 depending on the time of day. Rush hour traffic can be tough. But in the middle of the day, a cab is the quickest way to go. The airport is also serviced by Shuttle Express. Parking at the hotel is $31 a day for overnight guests and the day rate is $21. Ample public parking is available in the area surrounding the hotel. The best deals often require getting to the lot before 8am. Home-bound tip: All security gates at SeaTac get you into the same common area. The line can be long at one and short at another.
The activities for WritersUA begin at 1:00pm Wednesday morning and ends at 1:30pm Friday. We pride ourselves on providing hot topics and top speakers through to the final adjournment. We don’t shortchange the latter portion of the event. If you are able to arrange to stay for the full conference, you will not be disappointed!
